Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.

OK SO, Yesterday, I went to the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) for the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibit & stayed in complete awe as well as inspiration throughout the whole exhibit and even day..
As a matter of fact, i'm still greatly inspired at this very moment.
What i'm basically telling you is, if you haven't visited the exhibit & you're in the NYC area,
please do it as soon as possible because you won't be disappointed one bit.

& for those who aren't nearby, or can't make it here's a video basically displaying the same and extra
details that were included in the exhibit:

It was so amazing and intense with emotion. I got pissed when I heard someone say "Ooh you can tell he was inspired by Lady Gaga." As if Lady Gaga presented herself to the world as she is now before McQueen even came about. *rolls eyes* Anyway, He was truly a legend and oh so inspiring. The quotes mounted on walls and displays also help you to understand the stories behind every garment which sometimes lead me into a "OHH! I get it now!" moment when viewing then reading.  What I loved the most was the fact that you KNEW and could tell how much time and thought and patience that were put into every design.

& UNFORTUNATELY, we couldn't take photos, & while I tried to sneak, I failed.

My Visit To The MET.

Here are some photos that I took of exhibits & such at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this past weekend,
Starting off with my favorite photograph by an inspiring photographer Diane Arbus. The name of this photograph was called "Elizabeth Taylor look-alike", you can read the story behind it by clicking the picture for enlargement. :

(by the way, I have no idea where this letter "J" came from in the photo above :/ *shrug*)

Trip to the LES.

les is ny talk for the "lower east side".

Aaaanywho,
(it was a group project to go and discover different types of store & what not) but overall it was a really good experience. We (the group I was in, and I) discovered/found some really great boutiques & vintage stores that I will be going back to.

Here's some of the photos, enjoy:

In a store titled "Narnia" which was a Thrift store:
I know you spot the Hermes belt, lol.
